Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant

Splash Leisure Pool have a vacancy for a full-time lifeguard/leisure assistant and a vacancy for a casual lifeguard/leisure assistant:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:                

To assist in the provision of efficient and safe services for all users of Splash Pool.

DUTIES:

1. To ensure the Company policies relating to the operation of the Centre are adhered to.    

2. To ensure the security of all equipment, fixtures and fittings associated with the use of the Centre and take the necessary action to rectify defects.

3. To clean and maintain all areas of the Centre both internal and external.

4. To erect and move equipment in an efficient manner to meet the needs of the Centre programme and users.

5. To ensure all equipment, fixtures and fittings are maintained in a clean and safe condition taking remedial action as necessary.

6. To monitor the behaviour of the public and to take the necessary action to control anti social behaviour and vandalism.

7. To present a friendly, efficient, helpful and polite service to the public.

8. To be responsible for the safety of the public and take emergency action if necessary, to assist other categories of Company employees when required.

9. To ensure the safe transfer of stores and property throughout the Centre.

10. To adhere to all statutory requirements, eg. Health and Safety.

POOLSIDE DUTIES

1. To undertake general lifeguard duties ensuring that the poolside is never left unattended for any reason whatsoever.

1. To conduct pool water tests at presented intervals ensuring water quality is maintained. 

1. To be aware of general pool conditions i.e. water clarity and odour and report any deviances from the norm to the Manager on duty.

1. To monitor the number of swimmers in the pool at any one time and where numbers exceed the specified limits and/or additional lifeguards are required to advise the Manager on duty.

15. To undertake such other duties, from time to time, as required by the Chief Executive which are commensurate with the post.

Our air-conditioned fitness suite at the Pemberton Centre is fitted with an extensive range of cardiovascular and resistance state-of-the-art equipment, including the revolutionary Power Plates.  We also have a Gym at the Nene Centre.  Both gyms are IFI (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) accredited.

Our  friendly staff are fully qualified and are there to encourage, motivate and help you to achieve your desired goals.

SHOKK Gym for Young People and Young Adults

SHOKK Gym, based at the Pemberton Centre, is equipped with a cutting-edge gym facility designed for young people aged 8-14.  SHOKK Gym enables young people of all ability levels to become more active and better educated about the benefits of a healthy life style.

SHOKK SENIOR, for young adults aged 14-15 years, is situated in our Aspirations gym.  It is supervised by a qualified instructor and is a bookable session only.  Designated machines are only available during the session - this is to ensure the safety of the group.

The sessions are still fun and designed to give the older participants a chance to be in an adult enviroment with more equipment to use.  This has given us more space in SHOKK gym for the younger people and helps the transition from junior exerciser to adult exerciser in the facility.

Our air-conditioned fitness suite at the Nene Centre is fitted with an extensive range of cardiovascular and resistance state-of-the-art equipment, including the revolutionary Power Plates.  We also have a Gym at the Pemberton Centre.  Both gyms are IFI (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) accredited.

Whilst you don't have to be a member to use our facilities, we offer a variety of Aspirations Membership packages to suit your needs.  Membership may be a cheaper option for your fitness needs.  

Our  friendly staff are fully qualified and are there to encourage, motivate and help you to achieve your desired goals.

Activators

The Activators programme at the Nene Centre is a fully supervised gym session designed for all young people aged 8 to 15 (at 16 young people can join the 'senior' gym).

Activator sessions enable young people of all ability levels to become more active and learn about the benefits of a healthier life style.

If you wish to use the gym on more frequent basis (before your 16th birthday) why not consider our SHOKK Gym based at the Pemberton Centre.

The Pemberton Centre hosts East Northamptonshire Volleyball Club on Fridays 8pm-9.30pm.
