Classes descriptions

With a choice of over 50 fitness sessions each week covering a wide variety of classes from high energy Zumba and SPIN® through to holistic yoga and pilates, we offer something to suit everyone.

The majority of classes take place at the Nene Centre and the Pemberton Centre .  Both the Nene Centre and Splash Leisure Pool offer water-based fitness classes.

Class Description
Ab Blast Gym Tone As the title suggests, the class will concentrate on your abdominal muscles combining this with a session in the Gym to help tone all of your body
Aerobics Dance-based routines to raise the heart rate and increase your fitness
Aqua Fit Exercise class using water resistance to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone.  Suitable for people of all ages and mobility.
Aqua Zumba Aqua Zumba is a spicy Latin version of Aqua Fit, a great workout in the pool with all of the benefits, fun and excitement from a Zumba class.  The gentle support of the water means that this class is suitable for everyone.
Body Balance™ East meets West.  A combination of yoga, pilates and stretch, designed to increase core strength and flexibility.
Body Combat™/Cardio Kick Highly motivating fun workout with martial arts based moves to powerfully charged music.
Body Pump™/Pump It Barbell weights class, fantastic for toning and increasing strength.  You choose your weights to suit your ability and enjoy music designed to motivate.
Boxercise  In Boxercise you use your whole body - and the time flies as you work on body movement, agility and momentum.  
Flow & Form Yoga A class for the mind as much for the body.  Work on breathing, relaxation, toning and flexibility. 
Nice 'n' Easy  Entry level class ideal for those just starting out at any age.  Low level impact class designed to improve cardio fitness and conditioning.
Pilates  Controlled movement to improve core strength and stability. 
SPIN®/RPM™ Cycle class designed to burn plenty of calories.  Let the music sweep you away.
Super Circuits  A different activity each week makes circuits the class if you like surprises. 
Tai Chi Gentle and relaxing mind and body workout.  Say goodbye to sweating, puffing and panting.
20 20 20  Conditioning class mixing different genres of exercise including step, aerobics, LBT and more.
Zumba  Energetic dance class to Latin music.  Ditch the workout and join the party! 

 

  • Classes can be booked up to 7 days in advance but please let us know if you need to cancel
  • Group Classes are FREE to Aspirations Members
  • If you are not as Aspirations Member but feel that you will use classes regularly you may wish to purchase one of our 10 Cards (pay for 8 and receive 10 classes)
  • All classes are suitable for all levels of ability
