Splash Leisure Pool have a vacancy for a full-time lifeguard/leisure assistant and a vacancy for a casual lifeguard/leisure assistant:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To assist in the provision of efficient and safe services for all users of Splash Pool.
DUTIES:
- To ensure the Company policies relating to the operation of the Centre are adhered to.
- To ensure the security of all equipment, fixtures and fittings associated with the use of the Centre and take the necessary action to rectify defects.
- To clean and maintain all areas of the Centre both internal and external.
- To erect and move equipment in an efficient manner to meet the needs of the Centre programme and users.
- To ensure all equipment, fixtures and fittings are maintained in a clean and safe condition taking remedial action as necessary.
- To monitor the behaviour of the public and to take the necessary action to control anti social behaviour and vandalism.
- To present a friendly, efficient, helpful and polite service to the public.
- To be responsible for the safety of the public and take emergency action if necessary, to assist other categories of Company employees when required.
- To ensure the safe transfer of stores and property throughout the Centre.
- To adhere to all statutory requirements, eg. Health and Safety.
POOLSIDE DUTIES
- To undertake general lifeguard duties ensuring that the poolside is never left unattended for any reason whatsoever.
- To conduct pool water tests at presented intervals ensuring water quality is maintained.
- To be aware of general pool conditions i.e. water clarity and odour and report any deviances from the norm to the Manager on duty.
- To monitor the number of swimmers in the pool at any one time and where numbers exceed the specified limits and/or additional lifeguards are required to advise the Manager on duty.
- To undertake such other duties, from time to time, as required by the Chief Executive which are commensurate with the post.
