The Nene Centre

The Nene Centre is one of three leisure centres managed by CCP (Cultural Community Partnerships) for East Northamptonshire Council.

Situated close to the centre of Thrapston, The Nene Centre has a wide range of sports facilities for all the family with its swimming pool, multi-purpose sports hall and meeting room plus Aspirations gym.

The swimming pool caters for a variety of sessions from early risers, 50+, family and general swimming sessions.  We also offer private swimming lessons - please enquire at Reception.

Our crèche provides a safe, happy environment for your child(ren) so you can be confident they are in the best care whilst you use the centre.

Our Aspirations Gym has a fun and energetic atmosphere where you will enjoy your work out with qualified Fitness  Instructors always on hand to help you.  Or why not take part in one or more of our group classes - with over twenty-five to choose from, including the popular SPIN® and Zumba, there is something for everyone.

Swim School is a programme that follows the Amateur Swimming Association's national teaching plan and takes your child through from complete beginner to advanced level that can be passed onto a regular swimming club.  It includes Rookie Lifeguard sessions and Synchronised Swimming.

Activators is for young people aged 8 to 15 years.  It's a supervised gym session where young people can enjoy the benefits of a safe and controlled workout.  The instructors will guide and direct participants during this session.

Our programme for the Under 16s at The Nene Centre gives children and young people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to be physically active in a safe environment.  We offer a wide variety of enjoyable activities including dance, football, basketball and trampolining.  We also run taster sessions during some holiday periods where children have fun whilst helping to stay fit and healthy.
